چکیده

Real-time RT-PCR is used as a gold standard method for the diagnosis of COVID-19. Since real-time RT PCR nucleic acid-based, it highly sensitive and specific test. However, this test takes 4–8 h to generate results and, in emergency settings, delay may prove fatal certain patients. The frequent surge COVID cases increases patient load settings. Thus, acid-based rapid POC required that can quickly well being comparable RT-PCR. In study, comparison was carried out using LAMP method. Nasopharyngeal swabs were taken duplicate from patients visiting kiosk analyzed presence SARS-CoV-2 virus by both techniques ID NOW(bbott). Out 14 positive 31 negative samples tested RT-PCR, 13 identified observed with LAMP-based Hence, sensitivity specificity found be 92.9% 93.5%, respectively. Therefore, point-of-care testing has potential hospital settings quick critically ill patients, information generated here will further draw attention policymakers toward such tests.
